Public Tours

Every 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month we offer the public an opportunity to take a guided tour of our train as it awaits its weekend journey. Tours are from 1:00 to 1:45pm, and tour group sizes are capped at 20 people.

If you can’t make one of our weekend trips, we encourage you to call our Community Outreach Coordinator at (512) 477-8468 ext. 205 to schedule your tour. These prove to be successful fieldtrips for both preschool and grade school classrooms, and also serve as great afternoon excursions for traveling train enthusiasts or those simply curious about what we do.

There is no charge for these tours, but donations are always welcome – give us a call today!

(Note: be sure to get a reservation number when you call to reserve your tour spot – you are not guaranteed a tour without one!)
