The Hero Train- July 20
It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s the Hero Train! Dust off your cape and jump on board our most popular train ride of the summer! Activities in each train car will entertain your Hero while our team of professional superhero and cosplay characters brings some of your favorite champions to life! While your fearless champion fights crime, full-sized sidekicks will enjoy our handsomely restored vintage train cars from the golden era of rail travel, built in the ‘30s, ‘40s and ‘50s! On board the train, your journey spans the South San Gabriel River and stops for a 15-minute layover at our historic 1912 Bertram Depot.
The Bertram Flyer- Most Saturdays!
Sit back for a relaxing journey into passenger railroad's glorious past onboard the Bertram Flyer! Our vintage train cars are from the golden era of rail travel, built in the '30s, '40s and '50s, and fully restored for your enjoyment. On board the train, your 44 mile journey spans the South San Gabriel River and stops for a 15 minute layover at our historic 1912 Bertram Depot. Enjoy views of Short Creek Canyon, the 300-foot-long wooden trestle bridge over the South San Gabriel, and the Duffy-Shamrock communications mast-one of the tallest structures in the world!
Princess Flyer- August 3
Get ready for a magical journey with the Princess Flyer! Activities on board the train will animate your Princess, while the Professional Princess Team brings some of your favorite characters to life! While your Princess is aflutter, Queens and Kings will enjoy our fully restored vintage train cars from the golden era of rail travel, built in the ‘30s, ‘40s and ‘50s. On board the train, your journey spans the South San Gabriel River and stops for a 15-minute layover at our historic 1912 Bertram Depot. A great spot for photos of your Princess with the train! All ages can ride in all cars on this special ride. There are no adults-only seating areas.
Teddy Bear Train- August 31
Welcome to our 2024 Teddy Bear Train to benefit the Center for Child Protection! Kids 13 and under ride for free with the donation of a new teddy bear or stuffed animal. About the Center for Child Protection:
The mission of the Center for Child Protection is to reduce the trauma for children during the investigation and prosecution of crimes against children. After visiting the Center for the first time, children are given a brand new teddy bear or stuffed animal to help provide comfort and a sense of safety during a difficult time – it also represents a new beginning.
