It's Springtime

on the Hill Country Flyer!

Let the rivers and ranches of the Texas Hill Country slip by your window as you share the delights of an adventure on Central Texas’ very own vintage passenger train. The whole family will enjoy an escape from the 21st Century while reliving the Golden Era of America's railroads.

Every Saturday and Sunday in May our train departs 10am from Cedar Park for a round trip adventure to the Hill Country town of Burnet. Passengers have a layover for lunch and shopping, and then return to Cedar Park late afternoon.

Beginning on the first of June we will start our summertime three hour rides to Bertram instead of the full day excursion to Burnet.

We operate train excursions into the Hill Country every weekend year-round. The trains are operated by the dedicated staff and volunteer crews of the Austin Steam Train Association, a community-based non-profit 501(c)3 organization.

All our trains are pulled by our 1960 Alco Diesel-Electric locomotive (ATCX 442) while our 1916 steam engine, Southern Pacific 786, is restored.

For reservations or to speak to an agent, call (512) 477-8468.

Welcome aboard!
